Former Trump aide and confidant Corey Lewandowski is set for a return to Trumpworld, Fox News reported Monday afternoon. Lewandowski, who served as President Trump’s first campaign manager, will leave the pro-Trump dark-money group America First Policies to join Vice President Mike Pence’s political action committee. According to Fox, the move “will enable him to travel with the VP and puts him firmly back in the president’s 2020 reelection orbit, say sources familiar with the move.” Fox News additionally noted: “The Great America Committee is the first such political arm created by a sitting vice president, but can only be used to donate to other campaigns and not to back any future Pence effort.” Even though he has yet to work in the Trump White House, Lewandowski has long been viewed as a fixture in Trump’s political life, continuing to speak with and advise the president from afar long after his departure from the president’s official staff.
