Facebook has reportedly handed over detailed records about Russian ad purchases on its site to special counsel Robert Mueller. The Wall Street Journal reports that the information shared went beyond what was given to Congress last week. According to people familiar with the matter, the information shared with Mueller includes copies of ads, details about accounts that bought them and targeting criteria that was used. Facebook policy, the Journal notes, says that the company would only turn over “the stored contents of any account" in response to a search warrant.
