The FBI and Justice Department are reportedly investigating Cambridge Analytica, the firm that spearheaded the Trump campaign’s data operations. The New York Times reports that the inquiry appears to be focused on the firm’s finances. The company had been facing criticism after it was revealed earlier this year that it was harvesting the private Facebook data of more than 50 million accounts worldwide. Cambridge Analytica has since shut down.
