Report: Four U.S. Military Advisers Injured in Syria
ISIS fighters exploded a nearby vehicle.
Rodi Said/Reuters
Four U.S. military advisers were “lightly wounded” in northern Syria this month, according to a report from CNN. ISIS fighters are said to have fired an anti-tank round toward them on June 9, causing a nearby vehicle to explode. The advisers were not in a combat role—and only engage when they are forced to return fire. It is not known if they retaliated during this specific incident.
