Seven U.S. soldiers were wounded in an apparent shooting at a base in northern Afghanistan on Saturday, authorities said. A spokesman for the U.S. military command in Kabul denied earlier reports that U.S. servicemen had been killed but said seven soldiers were wounded in an insider attack at Camp Shaheen in Mazar-i-Sharif. An Afghan soldier was killed in the incident, and at least one other wounded. No further details were given. Abdul Qahar Araam, a spokesman for the Afghan Army's 209th Corps, had earlier been cited saying an Afghan soldier shot and killed four U.S. soldiers.
