Report: Jeb Bush Doesn’t Want to Buy the Marlins Anymore

Former Florida Gov. and ex-GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush reportedly does not want to buy the Miami Marlins franchise anymore, according to the AP. Citing individuals familiar with the negotiations, the AP reports that Bush is no longer interested in buying the Major League Baseball team. Former New York Yankees star Derek Jeter is reportedly still interested and is “exploring a bid with other investors,” according to the AP. Jeffrey Loria bought the team in 2002 for $158.5 million, and bids are currently around $1.2 billion. Jeter is reportedly competing with an investing group led by Tagg Romney, the son of former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney.
