Report: Kelly Called Sessions to Tell Him His Job Is Safe

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly recently called Attorney General Jeff Sessions to assure him that his job is safe, the Associated Press reports. Kelly, who was officially sworn in as chief of staff this week, reportedly made the call on Saturday, amid President Trump’s public criticisms of Sessions. Trump has called Sessions “beleaguered” and “weak” over his decision to recuse himself from the federal Russia investigation.
