Report: Kelly Ripa Gets Personal Apology from ABC Execs
Top executives at ABC and Disney have reportedly delivered a personal apology to Kelly Ripa over last week’s abruptly announced departure of her Live! co-host Michael Strahan. According to CNN media reporter Brian Stelter, executives “expressed regret for the way Kelly was told the news,” and an apology was relayed from Disney-ABC Television Group president Ben Sherwood and other execs like ABC stations president Rebecca Campbell and ABC News president James Goldston. Ripa is set to return to the hosting table on Tuesday after a dramatic hiatus from the show over the handling of Strahan’s exit.
