Special Counsel Robert Mueller is trying to determine whether President Trump or other top White House officials tried to cover up information about former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn that was passed on by then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates, NBC News reports. Mueller has been questioning White House Counsel Don McGahn, seeking a day-by-day account of what happened between Jan. 26 and Flynn’s firing on Feb. 13—a task that could help determine whether Trump is guilty of obstruction of justice. Earlier this month, Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his contacts with Russian government officials during the presidential transition.
