Naomi Watts will reportedly star in HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel pilot, Variety reports. Watts’ character in the show has reportedly been described as “a charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret.” The prequel will take place “thousands of years” before the events of the Game of Thrones original TV series and will be written by Jane Goldman with the help of George R. R. Martin, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series that the original TV series is based on.
