Billionaire entrepreneur Peter Thiel has been privately criticizing the Trump administration despite remaining supportive of the White House in public, BuzzFeed News reported Monday. Thiel, who spoke on behalf of Trump at last year’s Republican National Convention, reportedly called the administration “incompetent” and said “there is a 50 percent chance this whole thing ends in disaster.” In a statement to BuzzFeed, Thiel did not deny that he made any of the disparaging comments. “Today it’s clear that resistance to change in Washington, D.C. has been even fiercer than I anticipated. We still need change. I support President Trump in his ongoing fight to achieve it,” he said.
