A pickup truck slammed into pedestrians and police officers in Washington, D.C.’s Adams Morgan neighborhood late Thursday night. Two officers were struck, one of which is now in critical condition. The officers were reportedly on their bikes at the time of the crash. Police said the driver and the passenger were both taken into custody, and there was a weapon inside the vehicle. It is not yet known whether the crash was deliberate or accidental.
