The South African newspaper Beeld reports that after the shooting Oscar Pistorius ran down the stairs carrying his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp and then attempted to resuscitate her. Citing sources close to the investigation, the paper reports that the security guards at the house saw this—and a trail of blood would suggest the Olympic runner's path. The paper also says that police think that the model was sitting on the bathroom sink when Pistorius shot her through the door.
