Report: R. Kelly Under Investigation in Detroit for Allegedly Having Sex With 13-Year-Old

Singer R. Kelly is now under investigation in Detroit after an alleged victim came forward claiming R. Kelly had sex with her while she was underage and gave her herpes. According to CBS Chicago, Detroit detectives are probing the allegations of a now-30-year-old woman who claims Kelly “engaged in sexual intercourse at an undisclosed hotel” with her in December 2001, when she was 13 years old. The alleged victim reportedly said she met Kelly through a friend who was “Kelly’s assistant” while visiting her mother in the city. She also claimed she visited Kelly’s home in Atlanta over a period of four years, where she said Kelly gave her herpes when she was 17. The singer, hit with sex-abuse charges in Chicago last month, was brought into custody on Wednesday after not complying with a court order to pay back child support.
