Syrian rebels torched evacuation buses that were heading for government-controlled areas of Idlib to rescue the wounded, according to a report. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said six buses in total were attacked. Syrian government forces demanded that the Idlib evacuations proceed before civilians could be transported out of eastern Aleppo, where some residents have been forced to sleep in the streets without food. Syrian state media reportedly described the assailants as “armed terrorists.” All evacuations in the country have been placed on hold.
