Lawyers for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are trying to reach a mutually agreeable divorce settlement, TMZ reports. On the list of items to be worked out are “child custody, visitation, child support and a property settlement.” As of now, there are no plans for the two Hollywood stars to face off in divorce court, unless the talks between their lawyers take an unexpected turn for the worse and fall apart entirely. If things go according to plan, the divorce pact will be made in New York and not in California, where Cruise could have a better chance of winning shared custody of the couple’s daughter, Suri.
