TRUMPERVENTION

Report: Top Trump Allies Plan Intervention

Reince Priebus, Rudy Giuliani, and Newt Gingrich.

Top Republicans in Donald Trump’s circle reportedly plan an intervention with the nominee following a catastrophic few days, amid fears about his continued viability as a candidate. Reince Priebus, head of the Republican National Committee, Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor, and Newt Gingrich, former House Speaker, are all in talks to pull the real-estate mogul into a meeting over the campaign's prospects, NBC News reports. Sources say the leaders are hoping that Trump's children—key influencers on his political decisions—will be involved in the meeting to "reset" his campaign. Officials in the real estate mogul's inner orbit have called the campaign "worse than ever" and "crazytown," with serious fears that there's "nothing that we can do, that anybody can do right now."
