Report: Trump Considered Giving Fox News Exclusive Broadcast Rights for Inauguration

President Trump reportedly wanted to give Fox News the exclusive broadcast rights for the inauguration in January, according to a New York Times report on CNN’s role in the Trump era. The Times reports that CNN President Jeff Zucker “heard” Trump was considering it, and that Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner “was in the process of brokering a deal with Rupert Murdoch.” Zucker told the Times that he called Trump to tell him off. “You’re just going to give your inaugural coverage to your base of support? It makes no sense,” Zucker said.
