Michael Cohen, a lawyer for President Donald Trump, reportedly created a Delaware-based limited liability company (LLC) in an effort to conceal a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an alleged affair with Trump. According to The Wall Street Journal, Cohen created “Essential Consultants LLC” last October and then used a pseudonym for Daniels (“Peggy Peterson”). Cohen reportedly created the LLC in Delaware, where disclosure rules are notoriously less strict.
