President Donald Trump reportedly spoke with witnesses who have testified before special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators about the probe. According to The New York Times, Mueller’s team is aware of the interactions that the president had with White House counsel Don McGahn and former chief of staff Reince Priebus. Trump reportedly told an aide that McGahn should release a statement refuting a Times story from January which stated that Trump asked McGahn to fire Mueller. Trump also reportedly asked Priebus whether the investigators were “nice” during Priebus’ sit-down.
