President Trump reportedly had his top aides sign a nondisclosure agreement barring them from writing about their time in the White House without first getting his permission. The White House is said to have made the signing of such an agreement a condition of employment, according to sources cited by Politico. The agreements were reportedly similar to those used by the Trump Organization. In one agreement from the 2016 campaign, aides were forced to agree not to “demean or disparage publicly” Trump or his family, according to The Washington Post. Trump himself appeared to acknowledge the existence of the NDAs in a tweet deriding former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman. “Wacky Omarosa already has a fully signed Non-Disclosure Agreement,” he wrote Monday. Omarosa, who has written her own tell-all book and claimed to have secret recordings of Trump and top White House officials, has said she refused to sign an NDA.
