According to Turkish news reports, levels of toxic gas were dangerously high in the coal mine that is now a crime scene after the country’s worst mining disaster. Local media is reporting that prosecutors have data showing that two days before the explosion and fire that killed 301, sensors registered high gas levels inside the mine. Five suspects are facing charges of negligent death in relation to the accident.
