It’s not the first time Marcus Brauchli’s job as executive editor at The Washington Post has been on the line, but he may be out for real this time. Sources have told Forbes that publisher Katharine Weymouth is interviewing candidates for the job, having tried and failed to bring someone over from The New York Times to fill Brauchli’s shoes last March. Weymouth has reportedly reached out to numerous editors again, at least one of them at the Times, and also has her eye on Boston Globe editor Marty Baron. Baron was among the names dropped in a recent gossip report in Washingtonian magazine, which said “rumors are swirling that [Brauchli’s] days are numbered.”
