Report: White House Spokesperson Called Trump ‘A Deplorable’

White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah slammed Trump in texts to an RNC colleague.

White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah called then-candidate Donald Trump a "deplorable" after watching Access Hollywood footage of Trump boasting of grabbing women, New York Magazine reports. Shah, who was then a staffer with the Republican National Committee, texted an RNC colleague that he was "kinda enjoying" the fallout over the Access Hollywood tape, calling it "some justice. I honestly don’t think it’s the worst thing he’s done but he somehow got passes for the other acts." Shah reportedly added that "Trump is a deplorable.” While working for the RNC, Shah also helped locate damaging footage of Trump that was later used in a Jeb Bush campaign video, New York Magazine reports.
