President Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner was reportedly the “very senior member of the Presidential Transition Team” who directed Michael Flynn to reach out to Russia, as stated in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s charging documents released Friday. According to CNN, NBC News, and several other outlets, Kushner instructed Flynn—who pleaded guilty Friday to lying to the FBI—to contact a Russian ambassador and several other countries in late 2016 regarding a U.N. Security Council vote on Israeli settlements.
