Illinois Democratic Rep. Luis Gutiérrez does not plan to seek reelection, multiple outlets report. Gutiérrez, a vocal critic of President Trump’s response to the devastation in Puerto Rico and a leading voice on overhauling immigration laws, has held his seat for 24 years. The 63-year-old will formally endorse Jesus “Chuy” Garcia, a Cook County commissioner, Politico reports. Douglas Rivlin, a spokesman for Gutiérrez, said he couldn't comment on the decision late Monday. “I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything,” he said. The Washington Post and The Chicago Tribune also reported on Gutiérrez’s decision Tuesday.
