A controversial national-security aide to President Trump, Sebastian Gorka, is leaving the White House, according to multiple reports. Gorka was a counterterrorism analyst for Fox News before he was selected by chief strategist Steve Bannon to sit on the Strategic Initiatives Group on Trump’s team. He has been linked to far-right groups in Hungary that collaborated with the Nazis in World War II. Gorka’s also been unable to get clearance for the National Security Council over a charge last year that he carried a weapon at a Washington, D.C. airport; separately, his education claims on his résumé have been called into question. A senior administration official told The Daily Beast that Gorka had already been entirely excluded from policy-making at the council. The Daily Beast reported Friday that the White House was actively exploring options for removing Gorka.
