Louis Meyers, one of South by Southwest's cofounders, has died, Austin media reported Friday. The news was confirmed on the first day of the Austin-based annual music, film and interactive conference, which runs through March 20. Meyers was a promoter, manager, agent and talent booker in Austin when SXSW was started. He worked with the conference from 1987 until 1994.
