Republican leaders in Mississippi and Georgiaare debating whether to bail out state hospitals that would have received fundingunder President Obama’s health care law. After a Supreme Court ruling, 25states either refused to expand their Medicaid programs in accordance with theObamacare overhaul, or are still debating whether to do so. That has left a largenumber of poor residents without insurance and unable to pay for treatments,which leaves hospitals in the lurch. The federal government has pledged to paythe full cost of Medicaid expansion for three years, but a number of Southernstates rejected the plan.
