First criminal prosecution of cyber-exploitation site.
27-year-old San Diego native Kevin Bollaert was sentenced to 18 years in prison on Friday for running a revenge-porn website and charging victims to have their photos, along with personal information, removed. Bollaert is believed to have collected around $30,000 from victims on his site, UGotPosted.com. Bolero is the first operator of a cyber-exploitation site to be criminally prosecuted, according to the U.S. California’s Attorney General’s office.
