Looper and Brick director Rian Johnson has been tapped to write and direct two new Star Wars installments, Episodes VIII and IX, according to a Deadline report. J.J. Abrams is still on board to direct Episode VII and directors Josh Trank and Gareth Edwards have been entrusted to helm two spinoff films, possibly about a young Han Solo and bounty hunter Boba Fett.
