No one messes with Condoleezza Rice. In an interview with Reuters, the former secretary of state blasted Dick Cheney for the “cheap shots” he takes in his new memoir, especially his comments that she misled President George W. Bush in his stance on nuclear weapons with North Korea. Rice said that Cheney attacked her integrity, and also disputed one of the claims that she “tearfully admitted” making the Bush administration apologize for a statement made in the 2003 State of the Union address. “It certainly doesn’t sound like me, now, does it?” Rice said in the interview. “I would never—I don’t remember coming to the vice president tearfully about anything in the entire eight years that I knew him.”
