He’s back, and it’s thanks to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Ricky Gervais was voted in to host the Golden Globes for the third time. Gervais was seemingly yanked from the Golden Globes earlier this year after a slew of jokes—including one targeting the sexuality of a “famous Scientologist” and another ridiculing the film The Tourist. Apparently Gervais was not too keen on returning as host, but he “warmed to the idea” after meeting with the HFPA president. The awards show will air on NBC in January.
