Rihanna Turned Away From Mosque

This isn’t entirely surprising. Rihanna, a pop singer known for her popular music as well as her provocative style, was asked to leave the grounds at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre after a photoshoot which included her posing seductively in an all black outfit in front of the religious site. In a statement posted Monday, the Centre said: "The Centre strives to ensure that visitors enter the mosque in a decent fashion, and refrain from behaving in any way that is inconsistent with the sanctity of this religious place." Until the incident, Rihanna’s tour through the socially conservative Middle East had gone without controversy, as she adjusted her racy wardrobe to fit societal expectations in the region.
