RNC Ad Alters Verrilli's Opening Statements

Calls it a "mashup."

The RNC is out with a new "mashup" ad featuring doctored audio recordings from Solicitor General Donald Verrilli's testimony on the Affordable Care Act at the Supreme Court. Verilli is heard stuttering and pausing as he gives his argument, breaking for water twice as the words "ObamaCare: It's a Tough Sell" appear on the screen. Those who've reviewed transcripts and recordings from the hearings found that Verrilli took a much shorter pause and only one sip of water. The RNC communications director admits the video includes multiple clips. "The point was that he continually had to stop because he was having trouble making the case for why Obamacare was valid," he said.
