Wrecking Ball Chatroulette
Tongues were wagging when Miley Cyrus released the R-rated video for her song “Wrecking Ball.” But when comedian Steve Kardynal re-enacted the video for unsuspecting Chatroulette users, the video became an X-rated masterpiece.
How Animals Eat Their Food
Ever wondered how different animals consume their meals? MisterEpicMann showed us in this extremely scientifically accurate video.
#Hashtag
This was the year of the hashtag. Everywhere we looked, from Twitter to Instagram and even Facebook, hashtags abounded. So naturally, Jimmy Fallon (with some help from his buddy JT) had to show us just how ridiculous this obsession is.
Worst Twerk Fail Ever
Everyone was talking about Caitlin Heller’s epic twerk fail, in which her attempt at a sexy video went very, very wrong. What nobody knew was that it was all a prank, orchestrated by Jimmy Kimmel and his team.
Kid President
The pint-size prez gave the pep talk of the year, encouraging people everywhere to take risks and make the world a better place. Most of all, though, he showed us the importance of a dance break.

Snowden Interview
In the interview that spawned the year’s biggest controversy, former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden revealed to the The Guardian that the U.S. government spies on, well, a lot of people (and organizations and other governments, too). The issue is far from settled, and debates about governmental surveillance will only continue in 2014.
Rob Ford Crack Video
Unfortunately, the Toronto mayor hasn’t done us the courtesy of releasing the video of him smoking crack, so here’s a video of him dancing at a City Council meeting instead. Almost as good, right? Luckily he’s made some other great videos, including one where he admits his drug use and another in which he tells us he has enough to eat at home.
Honorable Mention: Drunk in Love
On December 13, Beyoncé surprised the world by releasing a new album and 17 music videos to boot. It quickly became the fastest-selling album in iTunes history, with more than 800,000 downloads by the end of the weekend. To celebrate Queen Bey’s epic year, here’s the video from her new single ‘Drunk in Love,’ featuring the one and only Jay Z.
