Roberts has been on medical leave since September as she recovered from bone-marrow surgery, treatment for the rare blood disorder myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS). “I cannot wait for the return to my GMA family,” Roberts said. To mark her return, ABC will air a 20/20 special about her on February 22. Her doctors have cleared her return.
