The father of one of the undocumented teenagers accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at a high school in Rockville, Maryland, has been arrested. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials took Adolfo Sanchez-Reyes into custody on Friday, the agency said. His son Henry Sanchez-Milian, 18, an undocumented immigrant, has been charged with first-degree rape along with another student, 17-year-old Jose O. Montano. Himedes Chicas, Sanchez-Reyes’ attorney, said it was possible his client would be released. In a statement, ICE said the arrest occurred “after a review of his immigration history revealed he was unlawfully present in the United States.” The White House has brought up the Rockville rape case as an example of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.
