Roger Federer Loses in French Open

Hope you didn't bet on the favorite: Robin Soderling upset Roger Federer in the French Open quarterfinals Tuesday, making this the first time in six years—23 tournaments—that a Grand Slam semifinal round will not include Federer. Soderling pulled a similar trick last year when he knocked out powerhouse favorite and four-time champion Rafael Nadal in the fourth round, but Soderling had lost all 12 of his previous matches against Federer. Federer started out with the lead, but fell apart on the cold, damp afternoon despite being the crowd favorite.
