Romney Is Becoming Less Liked

New polls reveal growing unfavorability rating.

America is starting to like Mitt Romney less and less. Of Americans who participated in a recent ABC News/Washington Post survey, 49 percent said they view the Republican presidential candidate unfavorably—more than the 45 percent who said the same thing in May. On the other hand, 40 percent of those who completed the survey still see him in a positive light. Another poll, by the Pew Research Center, confirms Romney's drop in favorability among the public, from 41 percent positivity in June to just 37 percent in July. President Obama, meanwhile, is popular with 53 percent of voters who participated in the ABC News/Washington Post poll and unpopular with about 43 percent of those surveyed.
