Romney Op-Ed Slams Obama

Criticizes the president’s fiscal policies.

Following his crushing loss to Rick Santorum in three separate state primaries Tuesday night, Mitt Romney took to the USA Today opinion section Wednesday morning to slam President Obama’s fiscal policy. “The president has allowed spending to explode on his watch, from a historical average of about 19 percent of GDP up to 25 percent of GDP,” wrote the presidential hopeful. “While no other president had ever run a $1 trillion deficit, he will run one every year of his administration. By the end of his first time, President Obama will have added nearly as much publicly held debt as all 43 prior presidents combined.”
