Mitt Romney is making it official. The former Massachusetts governor will officially announce his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination in New Hampshire on June 2, UnionLeader.com reported Thursday. The location underscores the importance of that state’s primary to Romney’s fortunes; he’ll reportedly unveil the campaign at a noontime barbecue hosted by longtime GOP donors. Romney also showed a soft spot for the Granite State when he shot a video there announcing his 2012 exploratory committee.
