Mitt Romney isn't considered a favorite in the South, but there is still a chance that the Massachusetts moderate could win down there, at least in Tennessee. "I think it's very favorable ground for him, and I have thought so for a long time," suggests one GOP pollster of the Volunteer State, which holds 58 delegates. "They like governing, mainstream conservatives. It's a long history." Bill Haslam, Tennessee's current governor, is just the most recent in a string of moderate conservative politicians elected by Tennesseeans.
