Romney: ‘World Is Getting Warmer’

Believes humans have “contributed.”

Mitt Romney admitted Friday that he believes humans are at least partially responsible for the changing global climate. While speaking to a town-hall meeting in New Hampshire, Romney said, “I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that.” He said the United States needs to stop depending on foreign oil and expand alternative energies, and that we need to “reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases.” However, he also said that the United States cannot attempt to reduce emissions alone and then give a free pass to countries like China and Brazil. “It’s not called American warming, it’s called global warming,” he said.
