Does this mean there could be a father-son battle for the Republican nomination? Texas Rep. Ron Paul is expected to announce Tuesday that he is forming an exploratory committee for 2012 election, sources told Politico Monday. Paul, on an Iowa trip, will also name three members of the state party’s central committee to co-chair his campaign in the key state. Paul, who has a small but intensely loyal following, surprised the country in 2008 by shattering online fundraising records despite his staunch libertarian views.
