Actress Rose McGowan, who helped bring publicity to #MeToo by going public with a rape allegation against Harvey Weinstein, is turning her back on the movement in a stinging indictment of Hollywood. In a searing interview with The Times of London, the Charmed star claimed the national reckoning that has brought down powerful figures over the last year is mere window-dressing. “I just think they’re douchebags. They’re not champions. I just think they’re losers,” she told The Times of London, referring to #MeToo leaders. She even said she understands some of President Trump’s supporters. “They hate Hollywood for being faux liberals—and they’re 100 percent right about that. It’s a bunch of faux liberals,” she told the paper. McGowan has recently been feuding with another #MeToo figure, Italian actress-director Asia Argento, over accusations that Argento sexually assaulted a teenager.
