Roseanne Conner is dead, according to her on-screen husband John Goodman. The star said Roseanne Barr’s famous character is to be killed off in a new ABC Roseanne spinoff called The Conners. Asked by The Times of London about how his character is getting on in the new show, Goodman said: “I guess he’ll be mopey and sad because his wife’s dead.” ABC’s Roseanne reboot was canceled this year after Barr posted a racist tweet in which she called President Obama’s aide Valerie Jarrett the offspring of the “Muslim brotherhood & Planet of the Apes.” Goodman defended Barr in the interview, saying: “I know for a fact that she’s not a racist.”
