Roy Moore, the disgraced former Alabama U.S. Senate candidate, is advising Senate Republicans to “take a stand” and back Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh amid a sexual-assault allegation. “It’s so obvious that these tactics are used just days before a very important event... but these come up right before an election or a confirmation, and I think the Republicans need to take a stand. I think a lot of them don’t. They don’t like criticism,” Moore, who was accused of sexual misconduct himself, told One America News. Moore lost to Sen. Doug Jones (D-AL) in December after multiple women came forward alleging that he preyed on them when they were teenagers and he was in his thirties.
