In what’s sure to be one of the hottest tickets of the year, St. James’s Palace has released names of some of the 1,900 guests invited to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. The ceremony, occurring April 29 at Westminster Abbey, will feature badly burned Afghan War veteran and friend of Prince William’s Lance Corporal Martyn Compton; Bryn and Emma Parry, founders of the forces’ charity Help for Heroes; and Holly Dyer, the sister of 2nd Lieutenant Joanna Dyer, who was killed by a bomb in Iraq in 2007. Celebrity guests will include David and Victoria Beckham, Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish, director Guy Ritchie, the official engagement photographer Mario Testino, singer Joss Stone, and actor Rowan Atkinson, who famously presided over a silver-screen wedding in Four Weddings and a Funeral. Prime Minister David Cameron will attend, as will the sultan of Brunei and the king and queen of Norway, and a number of Prince William’s friends from the armed services.
