The Kansas City Royals, who were routed in the World Series’ opening game, roared back at home with a 7-2 win in Game 2 against the San Francisco Giants to even the series. Early on, it appeared the Giants would be heading back to the Bay Area with a big lead, but the Royals rallied for five runs in the sixth inning, hammering the Giants’ bullpen. The series shifts to San Francisco for the next three games.
